October 3-7 Homework

Monday, October 3
1. Spelling- write sentences for FIRST 10 spelling words
2. Grammar- worksheet
3. Reading- read AND record 20 minutes in reading log. Students can read for longer, but a minimum of 20 minutes MUST be completed every night.
4. Social Studies- worksheet
5. Math- my homework page
* Please check with your child/ their planner for any Turkish/Islamic Studies homework.
* Any homework not completed AT HOME will be done during recess/gym tomorrow and will receive a check minus.

Tuesday, October 4
1. Spelling- write sentences for LAST 10 spelling words 
2. Vocabulary- worksheet on compound words
3. Reading- read AND record 20 minutes in reading log
4. Math- my homework page
5. Social Studies- study for test next Tuesday 10/11/16
6. Arabic- know how to write/read the Arabic letters from the beginning, middle, and end of Arabic words. Also know 1 word for each Arabic letter.
* Please check with your child/ their planner for any Arabic/ Quran homework.
* Any homework not completed AT HOME will be done during recess and will receive a check minus.

Wednesday, October 5
1. Vocabulary- compound words worksheet
2. Reading- sequence worksheet
3. Math- my homework page
4. Social Studies- study for test next Tuesday
* Please check with your child/ their planner for any Arabic/ Turkish/ Islamic Studies homework.
* Any homework not completed AT HOME will be done during recess/gym tomorrow and will receive a check minus.

Thursday, October 6
1. Vocabulary- study vocab .words for test tomorrow
2. Spelling- 3 times each, test tomorrow
3. Grammar- worksheet, test tomorrow
4. Science- lesson 4 worksheet
* Please check with your child/ their planner for any Arabic/Quran homework. 
* Any homework not completed AT HOME will be done during recess and will receive a check minus.

Friday, October 7
1. Writing- 2 paragraphs on journal topic
2. Reading- read AND record 20 minutes
3. Math- worksheet; Test on chapter 1 (place value) is on Tuesday 10-11.
4. Social Studies- study for test on Wednesday 10-12.
5. If students receive a grade below an A on any tests, they will receive extra practice worksheets that they MUST do for homework and hand in on Monday.
6. Empty out homework folders of ALL graded papers. Only new homework and tests should be in homework folders. 
* Parents need to sign tests and return on Monday.
* Please check with your child/their planner for any Quran homework.

* The teacher holds the right to change homework assignments. Students will be told in advanced if any changes will be made.
